The food is a highlight wherever you go in Thailand, though Phuket has some of the best restaurants outside Bangkok. The seafood here is excellent and you can have authentic Thai & international food in class restaurants down to fast food and street vendor fare.
There are some especially good restaurants with sea views to take your significant other to, as well as myriad pubs and bars with comfort food right near the main bar girl areas. Enjoy regional, southern Thai to Royal Thai cuisine in Phuket Town.
Patong naturally has the most eateries on Phuket, although many of these are hit & miss. All west coast beaches have pretty good options, with many of the top hotels also having excellent eating. If you’ve had your fill of Thai, there’s also Italian, French, German, British, American, Chinese, Japanese, and more.
